Register trademarks and copyrights
In the era of creative economy and global competition, intellectual property such as brands and creative works (logos, slogans, articles, designs...) are increasingly becoming the core elements that create the value and differentiation of businesses.
However, if not registered for protection, these assets can easily be copied, appropriated or legally disputed. Therefore, registering trademarks and copyrights from the beginning is an important solution to help businesses:
- Protect legal property rights
- Prevent infringement
- Increase brand value in the market
- Create a solid foundation for franchising, transfer or capital raising activities
Trademark & copyright registration service at DEDICA
Step 1. Receive information & registration documents
In the initial step, DEDICA will work directly with customers to:
- Determine registration needs, including:
- Registering a goods/service trademark (logo, brand name, slogan, packaging, symbol...);
- Register copyrights (design works, software, articles, videos, musical works, works of applied art, etc.);
- Collect necessary information, including:
- Owner/author name, legal or personal information;
- Trademark samples or copies of works;
- List of goods/services expected to be registered;
- Information about the use or publication of the work (if any).
- Determine the scope of registration territory, in Vietnam or internationally.
The goal of this step is to help DEDICA clearly understand the scope of protection that customers want and prepare appropriate strategic directions.
Step 2. Analyze, evaluate & quote legal services
After receiving the information, DEDICA's lawyers and intellectual property specialists will proceed:
- Preliminary investigation of protection capabilities, including:
- For trademarks: check the possibility of being identical or similar to a registered or filing trademark;
- For copyright: determine the scope of the work, type of protection, and rights of the author/owner.
- Assess legal risks and propose adjustments, if the trademark/work is likely to be rejected or violate the rights of third parties;
- Analyze the legal basis according to Vietnam Intellectual Property Law and related international treaties;
- Prepare detailed legal service quotes, including:
- Scope of work (search, prepare documents, submit applications, monitor, receive results);
- Implementation time for each stage;
- Full service fee (excluding state fees).
Customers only need to confirm their agreement, and DEDICA will begin the official registration process.
Step 3. Prepare documents & Submit application
After agreeing on the service, DEDICA proceeds to:
(a) Drafting registration documents
- For brands:
- Prepare a trademark registration application, describing in detail the structure, colors, meanings and categories of goods/services;
- Prepare accurate trademark samples according to Intellectual Property Office standards;
- Instruct customers to sign, stamp and confirm valid documents.
- For copyright:
- Prepare copyright registration declaration;

- Prepare documents proving moral and property rights to the work.
(b) Submit application and monitor progress
- Submit registration documents to the competent state agency.
- Monitor the appraisal process.
Step 4. Handover of results & Post-registration support
Once the results are received, DEDICA will:
